Switching from TipSee to Tipfolio
Your history is the whole point of a tip tracker, and it should come with you. Tipfolio reads the columns TipSee exports (date, tips, hours, wage, job, sales, tip out, notes), previews what it found, and skips duplicates. Importing is free, and the file never leaves your phone.

Export from TipSee
TipSee keeps export and backup under its settings. Choose the spreadsheet or CSV option and email the file to yourself, then save it to Files.

Open Tipfolio and choose “Yes, import a file”
Onboarding asks whether you are bringing history. Say yes and the importer opens first. Already past that? It is in Settings, under Import from CSV, and in the empty Shifts tab.

Check the columns and import
Tipfolio guesses what each column means from its name and shows a preview: shifts found, the date range, the total tips. Fix any column it got wrong, then import. Duplicates of shifts already in the app are skipped, so a second import never double-counts.
Menus move between versions, so if the export is not where this describes, look for Backup, Export, or Download anywhere in TipSee’s settings. A CSV or spreadsheet file is what Tipfolio needs.
What carries over

Photos and app-specific settings do not travel in a CSV from any tracker; your shifts, hours, tips, and notes do. Anything Tipfolio cannot place, you match by hand in the importer.
What changes
- No account and no ads. There is no sign-up, no password, and nothing to watch between entries. Your income stays on your device and in your own private iCloud.
- Logging and export are free, forever. Two jobs, the calendar, photos of your checkouts, and CSV and PDF export all sit in the free tier, so leaving is as easy as arriving.
- One price for the depth. Premium is $11.99 a year or $19.99 once, printed on the home page. Compare it with TipSee’s current price on its App Store listing.
- Things most trackers don’t do. What each paycheck should come to from your shifts, a weekly check against your state minimum wage, the monthly tip report your employer is owed, and a year-end tax packet.
